Just went outside looking for them. I think the flirting is getting more intense. The male hangs out with his girl almost all the time. There is a lot of tail flicking going on, they sing louder than ever before, and fly in and out of thick undergrowth, to check if it might be a good place to build a nest. At least that's what I hope.
I wonder if anyone has ever seen them mate ? I saw them getting very close this morning, but no luck.
Here are some photos I took today.
Pure beauty
Fantastic M-L! The sun really lights up that male.
Now I want to go and hunt my local ones down and get some shots.
Cheers, Owen.
Thanks Owen, happy hunting !!!
The female was also sitting in the sun, but because they are not as flamboyant as the boys, their colours don't look as stunning. I love them even more than the boys, I can relate to them. (LOL)
