Uploading photos

Ok yes I'm a noob. I am trying to upload some more photos but it says that they are too big. How to I rectify the problem. Is there a program you use to make the files smaller & do they reduce the quality of the photo (I need all the quality I can get).

If you right click on a photo you can find edit, then you can resize it. (That is how I do it on my computer). It's probably not the best way but it works.

There is a free download called Irfanview which is pretty simple to use for batch resizing/renaming.

I use lightroom and resize on export.

I use Paint which is part of Windows. Load the photo, click Resize & select your preference.

Try using a third party host like Flickr, seems most here have Flickr accounts. Link below from AnnieJ, from announcements/help thread. There is also another post from Holly, that I have not read.

 Good advice. Worked for me and once you have your head around it, it opens other doors as to saving photo's and sharing..
