I like your title urban duck .... as i once saw a wood duck cross 9 lines of traffic on sydneys Victoria road one dark evening. It went across the pedestrian crossing and actually started on the Walk (Waddle) signal and all the traffic stopped to let it get right across. (As to why the duck crossed the road ? - i dont know, maybe it was the chickens day off!)

Annie, you need to visit Goondiwindi, Qld; I cme through there last evening and could not believe the number of Wood Ducks around or on the road
