As I mentioned in another post, I was in the Victorian High Country for a few days, but because the weather was so foul the first few days, I didn’t get to photograph any birds. That said, when we got to around 1000m above sea level, Flame Robins were everywhere and, on our last day, I managed to get a few shots (heavily cropped).
Beautiful birds they are, you can never see too many of them :)

Thanks. They are quite interesting birds and you can see them from a great distance because of their very bright colour. I guess that's where the 'flame' part comes from.
If you happen to camp at a spot for a few days, they quickly become reasonably used to you and will come quite close and allow beter photo opportunities. And being so small, the closer you can get, the better the results.
