Here's another one from the same place as the Crimson Rosella I posted - in Sherbrooke Forest. It was quite used to humans and didn't bat an eyelid as I approached. It was very gloomy so I used a flash to help the lighting.

I can vouch for kookaburras becoming acclimatised to humans, Owen. Ms Woko & I had barbecued some sausages at Gariwerd with a kookaburra keeping a keen eye on the cooking from a post close by. As we settled down to apply the condiments, the kookaburra came in for the kill & carted off one of Ms Woko's sausages. It seemed to pefer the sausage without sauce.
The flash has balanced the light really well in this photo Owen, it's hard to even know flash was used, which is how it should be. I like the way the flash brings up good clean feather detail as well.

Very nicely executed image Owen. Well done matey!
Yes, another bird that seems to be able to "train" people. I had a friend who loved them, and they would come in the door of his house. Don't think I'd like them doing that myself, but they are quite the characters, these birds. This is a great picture too.
