It's another murky old Saturday in Melbourne, with light rain falling.
So I set up my camera on the balcony hoping for the best, and as I did a new face appeared. I don't I've seen this bird around here before.
Any ideas?

It's bit grainy because I had to crank the ISO up to 2000 to get a decent shuttter speed. But it's new one on my list.

Thanks Denis. I am approaching the end of my second year of birding, so still relatively new. However, once I started, I was going out every chance I got, so I've learned a lot about the birds, at least of my region. Recording all my observations (using ebird) has really helped in my development, as has joining the local birding group and speaking to many other birders as well as reading many of their publications like the newsletter which has a coloumn on monthly movements of birds to and from the region and the Annual bird report.
It is always nice to get new birds :) Well done
