What type of bird is this?

This bird showed up in my backyard in Brisbane North West this morning and I was wondering what it is called? It is sitting on a log on the ground under a tree and only moving its head every now and then, camouflaging into its background.

Thanks, Naomi

Tawny Frogmouth, keep an eye on it if it doesn't move away, call a wildlife rescue service inyour area, should be one in this link,

Unusual to spend much time at ground level! Maybe injured, looks concussed to me, usually nocturnal, and often chases insects in light from cars, making it prone to injury, often head trauma.

Oh no, it spent about half the day there and then some other birds started attacking it cause they have a nest in the tree and it sort of flew away but not very well. I will look into getting someone out to help it.
