Whistling Kites in a family group??

Hi,

My father recently saw 6 birds in a tree together on our farm, which look to me like Whistling Kites (which i know we have) but could of course be something else like a Little Eagle, though i'm not sure if i've seen them around before.

We're located in the Western district area of Victoria near Lismore, for geographic reference.

I also am interested in the fact that they were such a large group on the same tree, taking off in the same direction together. Is this unusual to see a kite or eagle in a family group beyond mating pairs plus maybe a fledgling??

Would have to agree with Whistling Kites.

They don't appear to have feathered legs(?) and they are more likely to travel in small companies. Rounded tail also differentiates from the Little Eagle.

The head/beak shape of individual in photo looks to be a juvenile WK.
