White Gang Gang

I live on a farm in north east victoria. I have seen hundreds of Gang Gangs over the last 12 years and I have some amazing photos. 2 days ago I was observing some Gang Gangs in the trees and saw a White Gang Gang. Seriously! It was like a cockatoo/Gang Gang morph. Dirty white and lemon body, Red head and crest and mottled red chest. Has anyone ever seen one before? Is this as rare as I think it is?

cheers

Nice catch, looks to be a Lutino ,this is the first gang gang colour mutation I have ever seen and as far as I know there are no aviary bred mutations established yet.

So yes very rare !

I'm really excited about it. I'm hoping it comes back so I can get better photos.

Hmmm, judging by the red head feathers, it is a male.   ...but do the usual rules apply here!?

Amazing.  I hope it has a long life :-)  Actually, I hope it visits me in Gippsland :->  My gang-gangs usually arrive later in the year.

Hi Traceej,

This is an amazing looking Gang Gang. To me it looks like a cinnamon. I'm still to see one of these amazing birds in the wild.

Have you any other pictures of this bird my email is

Cheers

Jason
