Is this a young Magpie or another species?
It looks like a Grey Butcher bird to me.

Check juv. Pied Butcherbird... you can notice the faint bib developing on the chest.

+1 for Pied Butcherbird. I think in a Grey Butcherbird the bib would be around the other way, with the lighter bit above the darker bit.
That is, assuming you get both kinds of Butcherbird where you saw it?
