Twice this week I have gotten off the bus at work (Highpoint Shopping Centre, Maribyrnong, VIC, not far from the Maribyrnong River) and heard a very loud 3 note bird call that sounded like"boing" or a child playing with a very tight spring like one used as a door bumper. The first 2 notes were the same with the third going slightly up in pitch. The song was repeated maybe 2-3 times before the bird flew off. Unfortunately do not have a recording nor an actual sighting of the bird in question, hoping to get a recording the next time. Can anyone help with an ID or at least a few suggestions on where to start trying to solve this little mystery? I have heard the bird before in other locations, usually bushy parks. Thanks
