A few new species for me. Rainbow Bee-eater etc

I managed to drag myself out of bed for sunrise again today, and again it was well worth it spotting a few new species and getting some reasonable shots.

I really must get up earlier. What wonderful shots but I think that the Rainbow Bee-Eater is my favourite. I remember watching them some years ago at Gloucester in NSW and have not seen them since. Sue

All of them are great shots. You do live in a great spot and get to see birds I will never find down here in the cold. I love the little Pardalote darting out of his nest, I just like small birds.

Think I had better start earlier too.  By the time I get going, feed time is over and the birds are resting.  These are so good to see.  Well done.

Well done on dragging yourself out of bed early again you have some great shots Karl, love the bee eater cant wait for them to head down our way. We found them last year and got some good shots this year we are hoping for great shots. Love the goshawk it looks very majestic perched there.

Excellent photos Karl, I hope this wasn't the day that I was sick and couldn't get out and if it was then i really missed out on some good opportunities, anyway you did really well and you got the Pardalote perfectly.

Thanks Shane, and yes, that was the day you were sick. ;) Next time.

The pardalote shot required quite a bit of stalking, and I had no idea I had even captured him until I got home, they're so small and extremely fast.

Oh, and you missed a nice sunrise too.

Well that would be my luck, but at least you made good that day. At least I got a nice sunrise the next week.
