Today we drove all the way to the "Coolart Wetlands", we unpacked all our gear and made our way to one of the hides. Then it started to bucket down with rain, rain, rain even more. One bird turned up, a beautiful Lewin's Honeyeater, here is the shot of the day, the ONLY one I took. enjoy!!!!

so glad that you able to smile at all the bird pics that you got for your travels
Peter
it did sit there for a moment, trust me, as I never lie, the bird was there, I saw it with my own eyes!

Looks like the WET lands to me M-L. I guess it means there will be much more activity next time.

There is only one way to improve this Shane, that is a branch " with a bird ", LOL

Thanks M-L I have never sighted a coolart wetlands branch before. :)
Wow, the incredibly rare "invisible Lewin's honeyeater"! Nice capture M-L.

Don't you just hate that !
You look at the LCD and think "what the"Iknow he was there !
Anyway it does show the lenses nice soft bokeh.
You know what M-L - I think it is a gorgeous shot
Very arty
Did he borrow Harry Potters cloak of invisibility?
There should be some kind of "Like" button in this forum. I would definitely hit it for this shot :)

I've just twigged that you're branching out into a new area of photography, Araminta. What do you think this stems from?
You're barking up the wrong tree. That's enough to sap your strength. I'll leave now...

Hi Marie-Louise
Nice attempt. Not sure what your thoughts are about photographing from a vehicle in the rain, but it is possible and I do it often enough when given half a chance.
