I suppose you have all heard of the unusual visitor in Alice Springs the last week?

A Forest Wagtail (normally found indonesia) has turned up and caused quite a stir with the twitchy mob!, Story via link below

yes, and it is still there as of today

are you going for a drive

My flights from Canberra to Brisbane were already booked for this weekend

Next weekend I was planning a drive to Chiltern, Vic to look for Regent Honeyeater however, I wonder how many frequent flyer points I would for Canberra-Alice Springs

Good luck!, i reckon the little fellow is hanging around for a while, its too far to  fly home!

And too far for me to drive!

I'm sure we'll see some pics though!

HendoNT I think that you were away in March when I visited the NT and reported a Spotted Whistling-duck at Fogg Dam http://www.eremaea.com/BirdlineArchive.aspx?Birdline=4&From=20130320&To=20130330

3rd reported sighting in NT with 2 previous at Leanyer STW

I suggested a juvenile but was corrected by ?? (can't remember)
