Hello

Hi
my name is Lee and I am so glad to have found this site.
I live at Macmasters beach NSW and I am blessed to be surrounded by national park, farms ( very green) beach and wetlands and so have a plethora of wildlife around me. I have a very very sedate greyhound and everyday we walk and everyday I take my camera and snap as many different birds I can find. I am sure I could just take my lunch and sit on the lagoon and be entertained all day. We have lived here for three years and our yard went from grass and a hibiscus to a heaps of natives and its about to be extended again.
It pays off with all the little and sometimes very bossy visitors we get.
A friend of ours was over and said to me
"Do you realised I have been swooped by two different birds"
to which I replied, " No you were in their flight path"
if I had to have a favourite bird it would be at this the noisy mina and wagtails. They are fearsome little nuts and no bird it too big.
Yesterday was a great day for a different reason. We found an echidna on the lagoon. We rang all the knowing authorities and figured out it was OK and just covered it with grass so it could burrow.

I look forward to doing the surveys and I am getting a nature watch diary. Now our walks will be hound bag camera and mnotebook and pen.
