We went to the Westgate Park today. Every time I used to drive over the Westgate Bridge, I thought, one day I want to go to that lake. From the bridge it looks small, but when you get there it is very nice. Parks Victoria has done a great job by planting thousands of new plants, mainly native grasses, I was very impressed and will have to go back to see it when the plants have grown bigger. Unfortunately there were lots of people enjoying a BBQ, so going back on a more quiet day would be best. We saw lots of waterbirds, and the swans had 4 cygnets. I waited for a looong time to get some photos, but all of them had their heads under water, and only rarely lifted them up. After 50 photos of headless swans, I gave up.
