Happy Halloween

Just for fun I went to a Halloween party as a Spangled Drongo..... a point that was probably lost on most of the people there! As I have been woken by this noisy bird for many mornings now at about 4.30am, this was my way of celebrating their arrival from the northern parts.

I even found a haunted tree to perch on :')

Cheers

PS anyone else going to a halloween party ? show us your pics!!!

Don't tell me the costumes are so bad you can't tell a tree from a Spangled drongo???!!! The one with the feathers and the spider for dinner is the Spangled Drongo.... that's me!

It was last night Qldbird and we had a good time, quite funny really as my friend went as a tree ( haunted forest) so it went well with my choice. I really love the drongos, and especially love to watch them fly .... they are real acrobats.

Looks like you had a good time Birdie! We don't celebrate halloween except a few kids do come knocking for trick or treat, but I certainly wish we had parties. Actually that's a good point QLDbird, did anyone actually know what a spangled drongo was?

A good point indeed, and the answer is NOOO! I have never come across anyone yet who has known what a Spangled Drongo is apart from birders. Mind you Amateur, the host went as "Tron" and I can't say I had ever heard of that either! Some science fiction character with amazing powers and parts that flash and light up all over the place LOL
Everywhere I look at the moment the Drongos are out and about. The Noisy Miners don't like them that's for sure.
