Yellow-throated Honeyeater

Yesterday when getting in the car for work, I noticed this little beautiful - didn't have time for photos, but luckily was around today when it returned.

Too many photos I know, but some show it's tongue, and I couldn't pick just a few. I was able to get really close - less than a metre!

Yellow-throated Honeyeater - Tasmanian endemic.

Love the 3rd last and 4th last poses with the tongue out. Almost look like he's mocking you Dale. lol. BTW I have started following you on Flickr :)

Thanks Dev. My Flickr is a bit of a mess, like my hard drive, I need to sort photos out and be more organised. I have also started following your Flickr, after receiving a notification re you following.

I note you have a Canon 7D MkII, I still have that same model, but upgraded to full frame and a larger megapixel sensor. Might have to drag out the 7D and do some comparison photos. I would like a decent Canon lens, but the price hurts! Currently using a Sigma 60-600, which is ok, but not as sharp as some of the brand names.

I did notice you now following me Dale. For Nature photography I do like the 1.6 crop sesnor for that extra reach. While the Canon 100-400 is better in low light, seems to handle higher ISO's better and does have slightly better sharpness, I do miss the reach of my Tamron 100-600mm
