ID this little bird.

Need help with an ID for this small bird. There are a few in the back yard at the moment and they have a daily battle with the honey eaters in the bottlebrush tree.

I took picture of this bird in my backyard. As a beginner bird watcher/ photographer I do not know what it is. Please comment if you know its name.

hello Trac

it is always best to start your own thread so that people see that it is new

it is also best if you give the suburb and state location where you took the pic as many birds are similar and location is an important indicator

your bird looks like a White-throated Honeyeater

Could it be a White-naped Honeyeater?

Hi Peter, From this angle it could be white-napped honey eater or white-throated honey eater. I will have to take more pictures from side view to get more distinct features. I live at Brisbane, Queenland. Thanks for your input. Regards,  Trac

Yes, white browed scrubwren. As Peter said, please create a new thread for each ID request or it may easily be missed, and also clutters up the thread with responses to multiple enquirys

Thank you very much for identifying white-browed scrubwren. Sorry I am new to this web site. How do you put thread number on for each enquiry ?

In the identifications section (http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/forum/Identifications), press the new topic button with the green + sign.
