Hope everyone had a great long weekend and saw some lovely birds. Apologies for not being around to update yesterday.
Whilst I wasnt specifically birding, i saw some lovely birds over the weekend including a gorgeous scrubwren who did everything but jump on my shoulder to check me out!
This week lets see some birds that might have been seen to be enjoying your company, or maybe the company of other birds...
This Magpie was keen to get close for a photo because of the free food on offer.

This Tawny Frogmouth seemed to enjoy my company more than the Pied Currawongs that were harassing it.
Got it yesterday at my place, nice and low in a small tree

How about the opposite
This guy enjoyed our company so much he landed on our heads and on my camera.
PS. I love that photo Rick!
This Pied Currawong was busy enjoying the orange juice in the kids drink tumblers, un-beknown to the picnickers who were busy at the barbeque.
These birds have to be up there in the top ten birds with the most gorgeous eyes.

Nothing like a splash at the pool with a few mates.
You guys are all very clever, love looking at your work. Especially the Frogmouth, looks like the judge of the bird world to me.
Ipswich Shire Eastern flanks
Cormorants always love to hang out together. At one stage there were about 10 on this fence. They don't discriminate either as there were a mix of Little Pieds and Little Back Commorants at one stage.
Two fishing buddies downstream of the Chowilla environmental regulator
This Muscovy drake seemed unperturbed by my presence.
These Wonga Pigeons were quite affectionate towards each other.

Things are not always what they seem to be ;-)
This little guy didn't mind posing for a photo. He even sang a song while I was shooting
