100

My little fella reached the 100 mark today

The Buff Banded Rail was our 100th sighting. These photos were all taken at Wellington Point QLD

Can anyone help me with the type of Tern?

Also are these Welcome Swallow chicks?

Nice shots you've got there! Great one of the Buff Banded Rail.

Yes,that first shot does look like a group of young Welcome Swallows. The second pic looks like a Gull-billed Tern but I'm not that sure.

Good on him! Congratulations on the big 100! It's a significant milestone in a lot of ways.

I agree with Gull-Billed Tern. The black bill, the black cap extending down over the eyes and right down to the bill plus the coverts being black at this time of the year. This would have been a "Tick " for me as well.

Is this a Collared Kingfisher?

He was sitting just infront of us today... we just stood staring at his beauty

Started bird watching because my 5 year old loves birds. I now enjoy bird watching very much

Congratulations getting to 100 - a team effort of mum and son.

Very nice shot of the red capped plover.

Not sure about your Kingfisher - certainly could be a Collared KF.

Great shots. I would say yes to Collared Kingfisher. Sacred Kingfisher is a lighter green with a buff tint around the collar.
