Thanks, Max. Your cut & swab method is what I use too on dreaded olives & other woody weeds. On some of the larger olives I've used a mixture of garlon & sump oil but neat glyphosate works well on Golden Wreath Wattle Acacia saligna. The cut & swab method is not only effective in eradicating woody weeds but also avoids the soil disturbance you get if you use picks, shovels & bulldozers. And soil disturbance = more weeds. Keep at it, my friend.
great shot of an impressive bird!
"Whip it good" pose
Brilliant work - great photo.
Great image, well done. You are so lucky to have these beauties in your bird bath and he's even giving you a nice pose.
Thanks everyone, only downside is the amount of lantana, camphor laurel and chinese elm i have to clear, - all spread by birds. doh!

That's interesting, Max. What methods are you using to clear those horrible feral plants?
Chainsaw and roundup (glysophate) painted on the stumps. If i get in early i can cut them off with loppers/secateurs.
usually do all that during the dry season when it's cooler.
