Its my first challenge back at BIBY!
Lets see some beautiful baby birds this time round. My little baby is almost 1 already and not so little anymore!
A young White-headed Stilt formerly known as a Black-winged Stilt
Baby Silvereye
This was the first brood that used this old plant pot. Unfortunately the first chicks were so noisy they attracted the attention of the local Kookaburras.I couldn't interfere knowing Woko would be reading this. All the chicks were devoured.
The same parents have since nested here again and the good news is that all three chicks have grown to be able to fly away. Happy days!
Samford Valley Qld.
Happy days indeed, Reflex. The Kookaburras got their tucker & the parents got their chicks. An ecological system in full swing.

Yindana Lake WA with a host of new Eurasion Coot chicks around.
What a lovely set of babies. I offer a family of Long-tailed Finches (mum or dad with 2 babies) from a rest stop west of Heartbreak Hotel in NT
Hi everyone! It has been too long...
Here are some beautiful little Grey Fantails from a while ago...
A mother (on the left) Welcome Swallow and her chick.
Very very quiet around here..
A mother White Tern with her sleepy chick. (Norfolk Island).
Young Black-necked Stork (Jabiru) venturing out in Karumba... not sure how or why I missed his feet!!!
I have been observing this pair of nesting kites for a while, finally the chick is getting curious about the world.
A juvenile Masked Lapwing making a quick getaway

Not sure if this is even a baby, as it has been for a swim, but cute anyway.
