Hi all,
Just joined this forum and look forward to posting and learning. I've been photographing for a number of years and really enjoy birding. I've been to most locations in Brisbane, but my favourite is oxley Creek Common. However, I'm looking for thebest place(s) to see Brahminy Kites. I've spotted a ferw at Lake Samsonvale...mainly in the distance! but would welcome some suggestions. Meanwhile here are a few photos from me.
Thanks all:)
Paul

I've never seen a mistletoebird eat Solanum nigrum berries before..
Welcome to the forum .... lovely photos. I cant help with Brahminy Kite locations as im in sydney ... good luck in your quest to find one. You can look up ebird for likely BK locations.
Thanks again for the comments. I do have some photos of Kites...one quite close but didn't quite nail the focus where I wanted it. Other photos have the Kite too far away!:)
Welcome, Daisy.
You do realize, I trust, that this forum is essentially about Australian birds. But there are lots of Birds in Backyarders who are curious about birds from all over our beautiful planet including the U.K.
Then again if you are visiting Australia & wish to know more about our bird life your questions, comments, observations & photos will be very welcome.
A warm welcome to BIBY Paul! Really looking forward to seeing more of your contributions down the track :)
