Flying with an eagle

Hi, I thought there might be some interest with this YT clip.  Five years ago I had the supreme privilege of having this eagle (identified by the local Raptor Society as a Sea Eagle) fly with my radio controlled glider for some 10 minutes.  The glider's wingspan is 2m.  I was waiting for an attack as has been seen in other YT clips but it never happened.  I was very lucky to have someone on the ground with a camera to record this once in a lifetime experience.

Cheers

Oh sorry about that, my first post here.  I should have been a bit more careful.  Hopefully I've inserted the link this time.  If it isn't please search "radian eagle" on YouTube.

My, my. That's really something. I wonder what part, if any, the bars on the glider wings played in attracting the Sea Eagle.

John, thanks for posting. That video was surprisingly moving - lovely to see this amazing bird interacting with your glider. Useful perspective on the size of the wings, too. I also wonder if the wing barring on the glider made it more interesting.

Your music to the video worked very well too. Very impressive and interesting video capture.
