White-bellied Sea Eagle (WBSE)

Those who follow the "Big Year Challenges" will be aware that I love Pelagic trips - goiing to see seabirds of all descriptions.

Recently post some average shots of a WBSE, and was waiting for improvements. Finaly some hallf decent photos. If you don't like eagles or lots of eagle photos, press the "back" button now.

On pelagics, biuirds are atrratcted to the boat with a burley for mased up fish, trailing a bottle of Tuna Oil and adding chicken skin to the burley. Anything in the talons, will be chicken skin.

Amazing shots Dale! Love them. Yet to see an adult WBSE.

Wonderful shots, Dale especially on a rocking boat. I'm still amazed how you get them. They are such majestic birds so always atreat to see them. Close up like that would be wonderful.

Thanks ladies. Super fast shutter speed is my secret, along with ensuring you leave enough frame around the bird to crop out the blank bits (shoot right crop loose).

Still for hundreds of pelagic photos to sort through, I think a few new birds, and some old faves.
