We had a visit from this cute escapee yesterday
Green Cheek Conure - Native of South and central America and Mexico - i have never seen a bird with a maroon tail before - it really was extremely colourful :)
and then for the first time ever :) :) :)
A Male King Parrot
and these i think were baby Pale Headed Rosellas
:)
Sorry try that again
sorry guess photobucket isn't resizing properly again
anyway you get the point :)
What did you do with the escapee Myky? Would he be OK in the wild?
I love the Pale Headed Rosies, we get them here but not in large quantities unfortunately.

hi Birdie
He allows us to get close but not close enough to capture - he did actually come back today and he seems better today than yesterday so i guess he just needed a feed - if i can capture him i will and maybe take he to the rspca - i'll keep looking in the paper for a lost Conure - can't really do much except feed and water until he can't fly then maybe i can capture him - he is sooo fast :P
it's so funny the Galahs are so fightened of him even though he is about the size of a Scaly - their wings go up and they scream lol they really don't know what to do
:)
He's a beauty. We have had an escaped Indian ring-necked parakeet visiting for about 5 years. Some do quite well in the wild.
Nice shots, Myky.
I love the glorious colour of the King Parrot, they're so bright.
.
I'm enjoying having the Pale-Headed Rosellas around at my place lately too. There is definitely a pair around, as I've heard them call and respond to each other, but I only ever seem to see one at a time.
.
I'm not sure whether the one in your pic are babies or not, but I'd hazard a guess that the one on the right is a male, and the one on the left a female, just due to the brighter colours on the one on the right.
Cheers
Tim

Hi Myky, love your new visitor he is beautiful. Love your King Parrot and Rosella great photos.
thanks all :)
you could be right timmo i only thought they maybe babies by the way they were acting - it was sorter like little brother big brother - give me my space but don't go too far away and they both really didn't look like they knew what they were doing
it doesn't matter either way :)
Some more shots of the conure to show you his colouring
and this is the reaction that every Galah gave when they spotted him - it was so funny
:)
Oh Myky..... thanks so much for those... that last one is a ripper isn't it???

it certainly is birdie - love the wide stance of Galah's legs - attack mode but everyone of them backed off lol
he really has them fooled
there was one Galah that had the nerve to walked up to him - everything was fine until he turned around and faced the Galah - up went the wings and he screeched and screeched like he was under attack lol - the conure just ignored him
:)
Wow great shots especially love the last one. The galah is just jealous that the conure is prettier than him lol.
