Great shot,It's weird even though the colours are almost identical the black eye makes look so different (we only get the new holland around here)
Cheers

Hi aa,I agree, great shot! We get many different honeyeaters, also this one. Seeing I dont own a camera, I lokk at those photos with great admiration. But I do have a question, is there some "manipulation" involved, to get this result? Hope you don't mind an amateur asking? (they look out of this world)
thanks sparrow, we have them new hollands here but i haven't caught one yet :)
@araminta, i have minor adjustment on levels/cropping/sharpness but to get a really good result you have to get close to them by creeping slowly or by using a long lens
Hi all, as you can see on your photo, the eyebrow starts "at the bill" different to the New Holland Honeyeater, where it only starts "behind the eye".The white patch on the cheek is larger in the White-cheeked Honeyeater.(At least, that's what I find)
It's not the eyes that are different; don't know where you had got that from. There are many differences, just have a look at the two species side-by-side. It's not very hard to see at least three to four immediate differences - that's if you look hard enough. :D
