Nice shots Narly. Some birds dart around and make it very hard for us to get shots of them. well done on the third one.

Cheers, Owen.

It's great to see shots of birds with which I'm unfamiliar. It'll help enormously with identifications when my wife & I are on our round Australia trip so thanks, Narly, & to all other pic contributors.

G'day Woko , A good tip when you get to the Top End , Darwin in particular is to find a spot and sit and let the birds come to you . I've got my favourite caravan park in Darwin and I see more birds just sitting under the awning than on many of the walks I've done.

That is so true isn't it Narly? I met up with a very young and enthusiastic bird watcher when I was down at the beach the other day and I was giving her the same advice.... just sit in the area and stay quiet for half an hour and it is like you become invisible to the little birds so they just get on with their business! She was with me when the Osprey flew over with the big piece of wood...... that is the other kind of birding ....right place ... right time LOL

This is very true, Narly & Birdie. One of my early bird experiences was sitting on my chair in Ngarkat Conservation Park just observing. It wasn't too long before I was surrounded by white-browed babblers doing what white-browed babblers do. Great for the soul. Certainly mine. I'm not sure about theirs.
