Here's a little bird I snapped about a week ago. It was flirting in and out of the trees in a dense wooded area. This is the best of a bad bunch of photo's, the little guy wouldn't stay still enough for a good shot.
I think it may be either a type of Thornbill or Robin, but I'm not sure either way.

jizz seems to say robin (female rose or flame??) not many of them up here in townsvile so maybe not, any other pictures showing its back.

I am agreeing with Denis. A pale looking Eastern Yellow Robin. More photographs would be helpful; if available.

OK maybe not one of the robins suggested but I can't see a EYR, maybe a pale yellow robin,I know it's missing the white on lores and throat but if all IDs were that simple this would not be the fun it is.

The area where I took these photo's was in a very overgrown forest. It has lots of palms, and a semi sub-tropicalish feel to it. So far that area has been a veritable gold mine of spotting new species of birds. Unfortunately the little fella's move just a touch too quickly for me to get a decent photo.
The ID list from the last 2 visits include;
Scarlet Honeyeaters, Rose Robins, Sulphur Crested Cockies, King Parrot, Eastern Rosella's, Lorikeets, Fan Tailed Cuckoo, Golden Whistler, Lewins Honeyeater, Yellow-faced Honeyeater, Eastern Spinebill, White-headed Pigeons, Brown Cuckoo Dove(?), Eastern Yellow Robins, Pardalotes, White-throated Treecreeper.

I think you're right. The tail is nothing like a Robin or Thornbills tail. It's too long and the shape is more like the Whistler's.
The first link seems to be the closest to what I saw.
I did see a Golden Whistler there yesterday, but a further along the track from where I took that photo.
I've been snapping Golden Whistlers this week, and would agree that is what this bird is.
The rufous/buff on the wings seems to say GW imm.
