hi I was told this was a butcherbird (immature) by my cousin who's garden I took the photo in, (Noosa) but when I got a copy of the photo printed in Ted's I was told it wasn't a buctherbird but the person didn't know what it was. Anyone help?

Heva1, they may be a bully in the playground, but they are the consummate songster and so friendly to humans when they get to know you. I'd say they'd have to go a long way to beat the noisy miners at bullying!! :)

Hi Birdie, yeah pretty cute huh? my cousin has this one visit same time every day for hand fed treats and if shes late for any reason he lets her know about it with cross flypasts and noisy complaints!

Hi Jehosa, thanks for the compliment :-) My cousin hand feeds this bird so I was able to get some close up shots. Just about to post some more of my wonderful trip to Alice springs and in particular Desert Park ....heaven for the nature lover and photographer. Hev.
