Hi everyone - please ignore this old post from 2013, a minor glitch from updating our login systems today :) Cheers, Monica

Hi everyone,
In Holly's absence, I get the fun job of posting your weekly photography challenge! So, in honour of last week's United Nations World Environment Day theme all around food ("Eat, think save" - June 5th every year), let's see those photos of birds foraging or enjoying a good meal. To make it even more challenging, try and post photos of birds getting a feed from a natural source.
Looking forward to seeing your photos!

I have no idea why the photos came up in the wrong sequence? Also the text. When I looked at the preview, it was still correct. Sorry. (but you know, No1 is the juv Eastern Spinebill, the others the Musk Lorikeets, don't have enough time to re-post.Sorry)

King Parrot eating seeds in my garden. (I can almost hear Woko saying, it's not a native tree. I know, but it provides great shade for the dogs in summer, and lots of seeds for countless Parrots.)

a couple of birds enjoying a meal cheers Diane -Canberra
A couple of photos --
- Rainbow Lorikeet feeding. (bit of tongue action) - There was also a Little Friarbird, but the loris chased him away. :(
- Pied Currawong with his catch.
- Two butcherbirds jealously guarding their bit of roast they nabbed from somewhere. (this was in a park) The look on their faces is priceless!
Last two from earlier this year. The local RACQ has a Pecan tree, which the cockatoos and corellas love feasting on. Rather than going and getting his/her own, the one on the left decided it was easier to steal someone else's. (little corellas)
