What a great way to spend a rainy day in my opinion. The Pacific Black duck in photo #4 has some distinct reflections and shows the rain water beading on its back. I saw my first Australian Grebe last week-end. It might have been a young bird because it was much smaller than I had expected it to be.
Great collection of duck photos Rick!
Looks like you had a break in the weather for the Pacific Black duck shot. I always like those ripples pushed out in front of the water birds.
Those shovellers are remarkable looking ducks.
Thanks Whistling Duck.
Photos were taken at Laratinga Wetlands. A series of lagoons provides some sheltered areas.
I was surprised at the Shovelers and Freckled ducks, probably half a dozen of each.
There were also quite a few Australasian Grebes.
