Another Silvereye

I like these birds but they always baffle me from a distance as they move in and out of the light they seem to look different and I think they are another species. I have seen other species feed with the Silvereyes, like the photo of the White-throated Gerygone I showed last week which I thought was a Silvereye at first.

Great capture Shane i have not been lucky enough to get a decent shot of these little ones. They dont like to sit still for too long. Looks like it was a beautiful day the sky looks so blue.

This one is just beautiful. I love them, because they are so varied in their colouration.Sometimes they are a lighter colour, others can have an almost orange tinge. Great little bird, hard to catch.Well done.

Thanks Cath and Shane, you're not wrong about them being hard to get a photo of. The weather up here lately has been just magic, I don't intend to rub it in because I believe it isn't that crash hot down south lately.

What you say about colouration M-L is probably why I seem to confuse them so much, at the moment there seems to be a lot around busying themselves for the onslaught of Winter I guess.

I love the Silvereyes and the sound they make.  Haven't seen any here for a long time now.  Excellent pic.
