Wow. Just wow!
That first photo of the Crake is utterly stunning!
Mind you, why am I making a distinction? They're all stunning...
Magnificent mate, special mention for Nankeen Night Heron and those Wedgies poetry in motion
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
Incredible day again! Some love for the Spotted Crake & Dotterel - I like their poses, but still looking at you getting that eye contact. Beautiful birds! Always the way for me, spotting BoP's where it's almost impossible to pull over safely - did you have to scoot off into a paddock again for the Wedgies Shorty? Brilliant shots!

. double post oops.

Thanks, everyone.
Ruby, not this time. I had to make a left turn from the right turn lane, then drive up on the island between the divided road and cross 2 lanes of traffic on foot to get these shots (thats what hazzard lights are for isn't it?).
I was only standing 1 metre off the road and backed my lens to 250mm to fit them in
Shorty......Canon gear

Ah Shorty... erm...
I have no words sufficient to appropriately compliment these photos.
The dotterel is the one which stands out for me. I have seen first hand what a flighty little bird they can be. So wonderful to get a close up shot. :)
The Night Heron is quite the cutie too. :)
