Australian Hobby

I don't normally talk out loud to the birds, normally it is a little voice inside my head saying "couldn't you just move out into the sun a bit" or "if you could just fly this way rather than away from me I'd get a great shot". On this occasion, the Hobby had just fluttered up off the branch and settlerd down. I was a bit slow on the camera and missed it, so I said aloud, but not very loudly "could you do that again please because I missed it!" To my great surprise, and delight, the Hobby flew off, did a circle around some shrubs about 50 metres away (shown in the last photo) then came and settled back on the same tree. Needless to say I said thank you after I'd taken the shots!

The chances we get sometimes and then to photograph it as well, doesn't get much better than that. Good looking and pleasing Photos.

Ha ha , good onya Richard!  You got some great shots of the Hobby, so it was worth talking to it!  I especially love the first one .
