B S Kite

The Kite at the wetlands seems to be getting upset with me when i ignore it.

I take a couple of shots of him on his perch then i move on and look for other Raptors.

Lately while i am looking around he flys towards me and calls and passes over me about 3-4 metres above mesurprise then starts to hover in the paddock looking for mice.

I ignore him again and next thing i know he calls just as he is going over me with a mouse, but he is too close and i can't get decent shots. I think i will start taking my 70-200 when i go to shoot him next time.

Anyway here is a "different" pic from his perch.

Oh Shorty, you poor poor thing cheekywink, a raptor that comes too close!  Pfft, you know how I feel about your raptor "abundance" (jealous emoticon, if I could find one).  Seriously though, that is a beauty of a shot for detail on those talons & scales yes
