BOP Identification

I took these photo in 2009 when I was living in Karratha WA. Both were taken in the Millstream-Chichester National Park on the way to Pyramid Station.
I'm not great with BOP. I can identify a Wedgie and Osprey but that's about as far as it gets.
Apologies for the terrible photo quality too.

Not sure, these are quite difficult. I am assuming they are two different birds? At first glance the one at the water appears to be a Little Eagle and the other an immature Black Kite. I will ask someone to confirm and get back to you.

Thanks Windhover. They are two different birds.

I agree with Akos. The first one is most likely a dark Morph Little Eagle and the second Black Kite. Note the pale base to the bill on the Black Kite.

Cheers, Owen.

First one confirmed by Stephen Debus as a dark morph Little Eagle. He was undecided about second bird and will come back to me.

Awesome. Thanks Windhover and Owen. I had actually thought the the first one was a Little Eagle but then changed my mind as I thought it was too dark.
