At last the rain has stopped, the little ones can dry off and enjoy the warm sunshine .
That last photo looks interesting with the red on his rump and the big mannikin-like beak.
What is he/she?

Can someone please explain to me how to correct mistakes after a while? I just tried, but it didn't work. Wanted to write "sun" , and "grass", sorry.

Hi Tim, it's a juvenile Red-browed Firetail,,they only get the red brow later. And they are tiny!

I've seen heaps of Red-Browed Finches around, but never really noticed the red rump on them the way it shows up in your pic. It would make sense in line with the Firetail name though...
