Rainbow lorikeets in bottlebrush

Hi everyone
Our bottlebrushes are flowering at the moment. I'd rather see the birds feeding in them than in the feeder.

While they are pretty birds I am kinda glad we dont have em here at Toodyay as I could not handle their constant squawking

These are really nice images. Very powerful. The bird and the bush seem to merge, somehow beyond camouflage.

When you reflect on it, the lori's are part of the bottlebrushes reproductive system and the bottlebrush provides energy (nectar) for the 'lorries survival ... synergistic

For me #3 strikingly captures that intimacy beautifully. Thanks!

Hey birdgirl'09, thanks for a look at the extra images ... huge color saturation in #5
... I understand that birds see more of the UV spectrum that we mortals, I wonder what he/she looks like to other lories ...
I saw a few frames (of a Purple swamphen), that were taken on UV 35mm negetives, with screw on UV shift filters, stunning images.
.
.does anyone on the forum have any experience with UV in digital????

Cheers!
