I went to the treatment plant in Werribee on Saturday and saw lots of birds. I missed out on the perfect Spotted Crake shot by a fraction of a second but still got some and more shots of other birds. firsts were Curlew Sandpiper, Singing Honeyeater and Spotless Crake.
Some are cropped.
Richard's Pipit
White-necked Heron
Nankeen Kestrel, the first time I have got one on camera
Zebra Finch
White-fronted Chat
Australian Pied Oystercatcher
Singing Honeyeater at Borrow Pits
Cape Barren Goose
Australian Spotted Crake
Thanks for looking.
Oops sorry here's the other chat resized.
Cheers, Owen.

No worries M-L. I love going for a slow walk around the Borrow Pits because a mix of waterbirds and bushbirds can be found and if I act unobtrusive eventually the birds will come to me!
We went around the whole plant but the wind restricted the amound of birds we saw.
Cheers, Owen.
A very productive day for you, Owen. I was planning to go too, but decided against it when the wind picked up as forecast. Kinda wish that I'd gone now..... Thanks for sharing your great shots.

Thanks George. It was a pity about the wind. It was the first time we went around the whole plant in one day and I'm sure there would have been loads more birds if it wasn't for the wind.
Cheers, Owen.
Great variety of birds, many of which I haven't seen. I really like the singing honeyeater
Great variety Owen ... looks like such a great spot to visit always, well done

Wonderful array of birds again, Owen. Do you need a permit to visit there? I googled the WTP due to your wonderful shots. Too bad there is no birdwatching allowed at the Eastern plant as that is much closer to me.

Thanks everyone. Qynn you need a permit to to get into the plant.
Cheers, Owen.
I always love seeing your photos from the WTP Owen! Seems like bird paradise there! Keep the great photos coming!
Thanks. It is so reliable for the waterbirds because there are huge numbers of them and there are also other birds that live out of water so it is a good mix.
Cheers, Owen.
