Western Treatment Plant, Werribee (Vic).

Last weekend was a busy time down at the plant. A Northern Shoveler has made another appearance and a truckload of Crakes and Rails have moved into the ponds adjacent to the birdhide. Anyone who lives in Melbourne and has access to the plant should set aside a day to visit the place. It is bursting with birdlife. I didn't see the Shoveler but did manage a few of the Crakes and the usual suspects. Thanks for viewing.

Wonderful shots, GeorgeP. They make me wish I was there.
By the way, shouldn't that be a truck load of posts & rails?

Amazing Crake shots and others George. I went there not long ago and I didn't see the Spotless Crake. The Spotted Crake shots were nowhere near as good as your one.
we wanted to go back this weekend but looks like it is going to rain...nooooo!

Cheers, Owen.

Love the harrier - he looks so clear. The others are really good too, I do like willie wagtails. Not always easy to get a good shot of them though, they are so busy!
