aa welcome back,mate i have been saving these ones till you got back. Taken at the usual Canning river spot a week ago a Collared sparrowhawk. Spotted this guy on the tallest tree and at the highest point,
would have liked it a bit closer but {beggars can't be choosers} .
As usual a stuff up should have been 2 different pics there
Great shots, I have a lot of trouble identifying collared sparrowhawks mainly because most my sightings of raptors are when they are too high in the sky and always when I'm not carrying binoculars.

Well done Raoul. I saw my first bird off prey the other day and I was driving..... nearly drove off the road trying to look up to the power lines!! ;') It was near the Mooloolah river, an area I intend to go walking through as i've hears there are sea eagles aetc there byt the rivers edges.
My worry is, being female, that some of these places are a bit isolated and I feel a bit spooked if you know what I mean.

Birdie - I know what you mean - I also wonder about being alone in the bush with my precious camera - I especially wondered when I nearly walked up to an eastern brown snake!
Birdie i know what you mean about being spooked and being female. I answered a request on gumtree, a lady was looking for someone to go with her on photo shoots as she was scared to go by herself, this was before Christmas and now we go out once a week together,she was the one who got me into SLR'S as i only had a point and shoot camera then and saw the difference between them.
She is in RedBubble, a site where people from all over the world puts their best photos in and sells them,she has sold quite a few now.
