Went to see how the sparrowhawks were doing this morning, still won't play the game with me,perched up high as usual and i was getting a crook neck from looking up ,stayed for about half an hr but they had no intentions of doing anything so i moved on and came across 3 species of parrots..

PS If you're photographing a relatively stationary subject it may be worthwhile trying manual focus. This will ensure that the camera is not fooled by other elements of the image resulting in a blurred subject. It doesn't work for constantly moving birds like thornbills though. :-)
