i have a young coucal pheasant living in the trees in my backyard. it has no parents to look after it but a family of blue faced honey eaters have adopted it. i want to know if any one can suggest some food i can put out to help his feeding. at the moment ive seen the honey eaters feeding him bread and he eats mango i cut up for him. please help.thank you. ps. he wont eat mince
my mistaken identity of pheasant. have discovered that she is actually a female koel and its natural for blue faced honey eaters to become the host parents. relieved to know all is well in bird paradise.
