Birds of prey help

Just back from a weekend at Forbes NSW. I am unable to ID any of these with any real certainty. The first 2 where taken at random spots along the road. The 3rd was taken at Gum Swap. Sorry they are not very clear.

I thought the first one might be a Nankeen Kestrel.
Maybe a peregrine Falcon for the 3 one.

I would say you are correct on both counts.

It's funny because, in the first photo, the strong light makes the bird look like a Grey Falcon, but I can tell you that it's not. Why? The tear mark would not be Obvious on GF, but it is too light for Brown Falcon (pale morph). All I can say is the light orange colour of a Kestrel has been distorted by the light.

And you can just see the yellow eye ring in the third photo... Peregrine Falcon.
