We were on another survey at the Bundaberg Port and the Pink-eared Ducks and Red-necked Avocets have been hanging around for quite a while. We firstly ignored the constant calling of the Masked Lapwing until it flew straight over our head... and following behind the bird was a Black Falcon in hot pursuit. It was a demonstration that falcons are true killing machines. Spectacular! After that, we never heard of him again. FYI, BF's have been sighted numerous times around Bundaberg before.
Also, I don't know if any of you have heard about Freckled Ducks being sighted in Wongi SF on one of the dams there... Well if you didn't know, there is, they have and you now know...
