Myself and Peter got some pics of a Bower Bird with a small yellow patch on one wing.
I have been trying to find out what would cause this and the best theory so far is an Hybrid Regent Cross Satin.
Any idea's.

I have seen yellowing of feathers of some parrots - it could be a nutrional deficiency (as with the parrots) or potentially it is a very very mild leucatistic mutation (where the feathers dont have pigment)?
Did the bird have yellow on both wings? It looks only to be on one feather so perhaps, as Holly said, may have mutation of pigments. If the bird is still young, it may be understandable if it had a lack of pigment early in its life and should be temporary. Maybe he wanted to be as cool as the Regent Bowerbird...

Yes, Brandon it was only on one wing. I will try and get him/her again during the winter.

Have a look at the wing, I think there are a few feathers missing?? Could it be that the skin is shining through? I think the bird has lost almost half of the wing feather ? What do you think?

No i am sure it is in the feather not skin
