Anyone from West Gippsland?

Hi, I live in Drouin and am interested in photography. I would be very happy to meet fellow photographers in and around Drouin for bird outings... Any advice on the best places for bird photographer around the area would be most welcome, as I am new to this area (2 months), would be nice to meet people of same interest, also for social outings... Please PM me if you can help,

Many thanks,

Barry

Hi Barry there is Mount Worth national park not too far from you, head out past Warragul and look for Darnum, there are signs that say Mount worth national park. We have been there but didn't have the camera with us. If you head to the moonlight creek picnic area there is parking, toilet facilities and walking tracks.

Hi BarryJ, I live close to the area, and I will tell you, what my favorite places are. If you go back on the Princes Freeway towards Melbourne, turn into Tonimbuk Rd, then keep on driving into the State Park, you will have "Bird Heaven" at your feet!Get one of the Yarra Valley-Bunyip Adventure Maps. My favorite walking track is the "button grass track", lots of birds, and even some Koalas.Just before the fires 13 Koalas were released. I have seen and heard some very grumpy ones in the area Dawsons Tk,Yarrabubba Tk.Parks Victoria and some local Post -offices sell good maps.Have fun!!

Thanks Amarinta, for taking the time to write.... well actually I don'y live in Victoria any more. I now live in Queensland and have been photographing some fantastic birds here.... I live just south of Brisbane in Logan Village. Love to know if there are any other bird photographers here.

I do know where Mt Worth national Park is as well, I went there a couple of times... but it was raining every time I went there...

Thanks again,

Kind Regards,

Barry.
