Hilarious little guy that lives in New Guinea..... what a character.
Also had some good footage of the nearly extinct NZ parrot the kakapo.

Wow birdie, I missed the doco, so I can only judge by the photos. They look like something from a different planet! How interesting!

The footage of them courting and generally running around and protecting their chick was incredible... I couldn't stop laughing they have such character ! I though I would change my avatar to one but then I would be using somebody else's photo and wasn't sure if that was allowed !!! :)

it was very interesting and i love the way the kakapo struts around on the forest floor
almost like a pet dog rather than a bird!
